The Mission Mikocheni Hospital
(MMH) is a participatory institution of the Mission
Mikocheni Health and Education Network (MMHEN).
The hospital offers general and specialist Medical
services. It was founded in 1987 by the late Prof.
Hubert C.M. Kairuki.
The Hospital’s professional
and support staff exceeds 200 with 150 beds serving
patients from across the Kinondoni district and
the Dar es Salaam city in general. The Hospital
OPD handling capacity is 250 patients daily.

The hospital is also the main teaching hospital for the Hubert Kairuki Memorial University . The institution provides the service base for undergraduate and post-graduate training in areas of health professionals. The Mission Mikocheni Hospital offers its services to private patients through cash or insurance payment. MMH receives patients insured under AAR , MEDEX, STRATEGIS and NIC Medicare. |

Practical training for Medical and Nursing Students is also carried out at Amana Hospital, Muhimbili National Hospital, Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), Ocean Road Cancer Institute ( Dar es Salaam ) and Mirembe Hospital ( Dodoma ) and in field studies, to give students further exposure to a wide range of patients and conditions. |
