Rolling Strategic Plan

The Planning Department is mandated to supervise all developmental activities of the University, which include among others planning, implementing, and monitoring of the Five Year (2002/2003 - 2006/2007) Rolling Strategic Plan (RSP) policy for the University; with the vision “to become a model private university in Tanzania, and in Africa: a University that provides highest quality education, conducts cutting edge research, and provides exemplary service to the society

Initially, the preparation of the Plan was sponsored by the Ford Foundation, and was produced through the facilitation of the University of Dar es Salaam’s Bureau of Industrial Cooperation (BICO). The Midterm Evaluation of the Plan has been conducted and now, the Plan await its final/external evaluation before it is rolled over into the next five years 2007/08 - 2012/2013. However, in order to realize University’s vision in a dynamic and changing environment, 13 Strategic Objectives were developed, as shown below:
